La historia de Guanajuato es la historia de los destilados de agave. Es una mezcla de culturas llena de belleza y misterio, que combina influencias indígenas, españolas, árabes y asiáticas.
Donde estas influencias se encontraron en el siglo XVII en las montañas y altiplanos de Guanajuato, dieron como resultado una expresión única de mezcal que solo se encuentra en este estado.
El mezcal creció con las fortunas industriales guanajuatenses hasta que aquí se fundaron las destilerías más grandes de México. Si bien muchas de estas grandes destilerías desaparecieron a principios del siglo XX, la cultura del mezcal pervivió en forma de pequeños productores que se multiplicaron y agregaron sofisticación a la belleza de las expresiones del agave de Guanajuato.
Bar Atzintli busca preservar y promover este increíble patrimonio y curar y presentarte lo mejor de estos licores únicos de Guanajuato.
The history of Guanajuato is the history of agave spirits. It is a blend of cultures that is steeped in beauty and mystery, combining Indigenous, Spanish, Arab and Asian influences.
Where these influences met in the seventeenth century in the mountains and high plains of Guanajuato, they resulted in a unique expression of mezcal that is only found in this state.
Mezcal grew with the industrial fortunes Guanajuato until the largest distilleries in Mexico were found here. While many of these great distilleries disappeared in the early twentieth century, the culture of mezcal lived on in the form of small producers that multiplied and added sophistication to the beauty of the agave expressions of Guanajuato.
Bar Atzintli seeks to preserve and promote this amazing heritage and to curate and present you with the best of these unique spirits from Guanajuato.
